Storm damage?

LiteRock 93R (WRRR-FM) in St. Marys, West Virginia has done yeoman's work since Saturday. They are still giving updates, as this area was hammered. At least 15,000 customers in Wood County, WV are still affected, with thousands more in their listening area. As they did during the blizzard almost 20 years ago, LiteRock 93R has been a lifeline to untold thousands of listeners. Seven Ranges Radio absolutely superserves their listeners, and I for one am much appreciative!
 
Main power back this Sunday in St. Marys at 93R--almost nine days after the storm. Went through a lot of propane, glad to have the central air back on...92 degrees in the main studio this afternoon.

Will put the main transmitter back on tomorrow morning. We have a 20 kw single phase geni-- runs the studios but won't run the 3 phase 10 kw transmitter, used a BE kilowatt brick instead. Usually only have to run on backup for a few hours, that's why the air isn't connected either.

What caused the most problems in our area was damage to the 500 kw feed from Pleasants Power (1.5 megawatt coal -fired plant just down the road from us) The Derecho winds toppled a couple of the transmission towers. Shut down the entire area until the grid could be isolated & undamaged areas restored without cascading further failures.
