Saw the news report on 13-WLOS, and it was fortunate the tower did not fall on the studio building or a nearby house.

Is his the new tower that just went up not too long ago? It must have been a heck of a storm or something wasn't rigged correctly.

According to the WLOS story, the reporter (Sherrill Barber) stated the tower had stood 58 years.

I stand corrected. I got WHBK mixed up with WBRM in Marion, NC. They just had a new tower placed, my mistake. Anyway I'm sorry to hear about that one coming down. Hopefully it won't take them long to get by up a running with full power. Maybe they could rig up a long wire just to get back on the air.
