Storms In Corpus Christi

Well, Corpus Christi got pounded on June 2nd/3rd around midnight by bad weather. Many stations were off the air in the morning and many others came back gradually after the 79 MPH winds.

Conspicuous in their abscence was 1590 KDAE and their translator 104.1 K281AV. A check shows they are off satellite and their webstream is doan as well. This as of 11:00 PM the next night.

It looks like they have a 24+ hour power outage at their studios. Keep your backup facilities ready... We're all just a grid failure away from sitting in the dark...

Yeah according to their Facebook page it looks like they won't have power until tonight:

We still don't have power at our studios. American Electric Power told us yesterday that power would be restored at 2:30 AM last night but here we are at 9:45 AM in the morning and we are still in the dark. The latest word we are hearing now from AEP is that they won't have power restored in our area until 8:30 PM tonight.

Just tuned in and listened. They are back on the air now. That had to have sucked not having any power since Wednesday night.
