Straight Way Radio Group/Tama?

Hi-- first time caller, long time listener...

I have a radio friend who has a chance to be emploed with Straight Way Radio Group/Tama. Does anybody know anything about this company? Good folks to work for? Do they treat their people right?

I'll hang up now and listen for your response.

Well...I have never worked with them, and have never heard of the "Straight Way Radio Group". Dunno if Tama found a buyer (they went into receivership about a year ago) or if thats their D.B.A.

Based on this, I can tell you that Tama's Savannah cluster sounds bad. Horrible engineering and their two biggest billing stations (92.3 and 100.1) are overmodulated and frequently have dead air. This is a major sign that a station cluster is run on a shoestring budget! Hell, most of the small-town stations around here sound better than Tama's!

So, I'd avoid it like the plague unless things have changed over there recently...
