Strange names for TV shows...

M.J. said:
Slightly off topic, but the local newspaper here always indicated Edge of Night in their TV listings as "Night Edge" throughout the 1960s.

During the first week of "As the World Turns" (Apr. 2-6, 1956), listings for Quad Cities IA/IL CBS affiliate WHBF-4 (Rock Island) listed the show's title as "As the Earth Turns," based on TV listings from that week I have previously seen in multiple newspapers that then carried WHBF's listings (Peoria Journal-Star, Galesburg Register-Mail, Monmouth (IL) Review-Atlas, Macomb (IL) Journal, Quad City Times). Appears to have been slightly inaccurate info regarding the actual title of ATWT as submitted by WHBF for the papers' TV listings (one of these days I should search for and post listings from Day One of ATWT and Edge of Night that listed WHBF's 12:30 program as "As the Earth Turns").
