Strange things at WFNW 1380

I gave the AM dial a spin while getting ready to leave The Westfield Meriden Square Mall in Meriden this morning. WFNW was playing what I assume is DJ Fatman Scoop's Mix CD. They were playing a loop of urban-ish music with no station IDs, commericals, etc and every so often a pre-recorded voice announcing "DJ FATMAN SCOOP". Some of the songs included "Like a G-6" and The Black Eyed Peas Remix of "Time of your Life". Then the music changed to a loop of upbeat instrumental music. Again no station IDS or commercials, etc. Then I went to lunch in Plainville. When I came out about 40 mins later WFNW was back to playing Spanish language programming.

What is going on with that station?

I can't get them here in New Britain, so I wouldn't know. :(

On the stock radio in my '95 Pontiac Sunfire listened all the way from the Meriden Square Mall all the way down the Chamberlain Highway through Berlin over to Corbin Avenue in New Britain and down West Main Street New Britain til I got to Imperial Buffet in the Plainville Commons on New Britain Avenue. A little interference from the 1380 out of Rhode Island, but listenable all the way.
