Strangest song I ever played on the radio ...

As one poster so eloquently put it, "This is my favorite song about cannibalism. They're hard to find."

I do remember some jocks humming and singing along as if it was a love song.

Ok, I'll nominate "Zoot Fenster" with "The Man on Page 602".
Not many will remember this, but those who do, will never forget it.
I found it so funny, I kept a copy. (Still have it!).

Shaving Cream by Benny Bell. What a hoot that song was. I still have the 45.

Also, any song ever written by Shel Silverstein has to be considered strange, (and fun.)
Two of Shel's best,
"Front Row Seat to Hear Ole Johnny Sing"
and the infamous, "26 Second Song," aptly named because it was 26 seconds long!!!!!!
I punched that sucker off one time at WBAP, took off my cans, lit a cigarette and calmly walked back to the cart rack. CRAP!!!! By that time the song was over!!!!

I've played some pretty strange songs over the years, but it's a particular no talk seg that really sticks out; "Orinocco Flow" by Enya directly into "It's Your Thing" by The Isley Brothers. Hey man, I was just following the log! (lol)...

DOA by Ft Worth's Bloodrock. Creepy to the level of funny.
Lead singer Jim Rutledge later produced Meri Wilson's Telephone Man.
What a guy!
