Strawberry In For Wild AM Shift

Although it has been correctly rumored here for weeks, Brad Kava in the Mercury got the full story on Wild 94.9's new morning team: "Strawberry In The Morning" starts this Monday at 6 a.m.

Thanks to cubase for getting in the first scoop regarding Strawberry on this board nearly a month ago (http://www.radio-info.com/mods/board?Post=463308&Board=sanfrancisco).

The new morning show producer is Rick Del Gado. Brad got the exclusive interview with the whole crew (yeah, I'm shut out again ... but I'm used to it) and it can be read online at:

Someone said earlier that the promo tease for the new morning show is voiced by someone other than St. John.

I just heard it at their website... I believe that is Casey Keating's voice - PD of Star in the building.
 
Delgardo has been hired for producer. Hes the guy who worked at that NYC station that pulled that sex stunt in a church. Go to Records & radio to read about it.

Right. I mentioned that in my post. And it's Del Gado, not "Delgardo."

"That NYC station" was WNEW, and he was a member of the Opie & Anthony team that got fired as a result of "that sex stunt." He was not the producer on the scene when it happened, however.

Del Gado was also fired in February from Hot 97 in New York following the broadcast of a "We Are The World" parody for "tsunami relief" that he helped put together.

I'm not familiar with "Records & radio," but there is a popular radio trade paper called "Radio & Records" that has the story. You can also read the story here, although all the pertinent facts have been covered right here.
