Stream Rates

Wondering what stream rates would be good for an internet station these days? 128,96,64,32,24? How many streams do you run on your station?

128kbps is a safe bet. It's a good quality, and attracts the most listeners.

Most internet stations have 3 connection types,

  • 128kbps - High Speed Internet
  • 64kbps - Good for offices
  • 32kbps - Dial-Up & Cell Phones
