Streamfinder: is their $10 a month up-listing worth it ?

Thinking of doing the $10 upgrade listing package, but Streamfinder doesn't seem to be the "go to" place. Even their upgraded stations only have 2 or 3 listeners (as listed on the Streamfinder site itself). That's not much of a delivery IMO.

We paid for a year or so, got very few hits from the site and no longer pay for it. Since we moved to StreamLicensing we get most of our tune-ins directly from their site, many more than from LoudCity. We are active on Facebook and we get many tuneins that start with Facebook - which directs them to our home page, then to StreamLicensing to tune in, but StatCounter shows the hit as originating on Facebook, or wherever the search to tune in begins.

I had my ad on there for I think two years, maybe longer and just recently cancelled it for the same reasons listed above. We got a few hits, but I just felt that the $10 per month could be spent better elsewhere. It's not like it was a lot of money, one of the reasons I signed up in the first place......but I think they've lost ground over the years to competitors as a "go to" website for internet radio content.

You hit the head on the nail. Streamfinder seemed to be a lot more important a few years ago, but now there are so many OTHER sites doing the same thing......maybe too many.

It's almost like, can't we just get one central site that will cover every station/everybody? It's taken a couple weeks but I've gotten listed on about 20 sites. RAD.IO has proven to be the best, as now 86% of my listeners are in Germany.
Send me a PM and you can see my list.

I'm on a lot of websites......but somehow RAD.IO slipped past me. I'll look into that.

I'm actually getting more worldwide visitors than USA. It seems the USA sites are too bloated....my station just sinks under all the weight from numerous other stations seeking the same audience.

But, something that could expand my USA profile would be helpful.....even if it cost a little.
Google adworks or whatever may work, but I'm not sure about that route.
