Streaming Audio - dragging

Sometimes I feel like our internet stream drags a little.

We are using a Digigram Audio Card and the computer is an Athlon. This is a high speed intenet connection with Comcast and a stream we use for Barix distribution always sounds perfect. T

What would be the most likely cause of a slow stream?

Computer Processer, Audio Card, ???

thanks! joshzz

PS: is there a way to accurately test the integrity of the stream .. to make sure it's not going too slow.?

Depending on the settings you have available you might want to check if things are all running at 44,100khz. If all your audio software is running at 44,100 and your card is running at 48000 (or vice verse), it could cause that slowness.

Just a thought.

I had this issue when I was running with an Aphex 2020 with the digital I/O card. For some reason it seemed that the sample rate would be the one setting not retained when the unit lost power due the UPS failing.
