Streaming Metadata with Barix Instreamer

Hey guys, I am curious on how to setup metadata to be included in my audio stream. Otherwise I cannot broadcast "Legally" unless someone knows a loop hole! I'm all ears!

What software would you suggest and how do I go about hooking this up. My stream host allows setting up my server as a "relay" so I notice it calls for port# and IP.

My router is a linksys wrt54g.

please help!

If you do a little searching, the HTTP POST format for the string that sends the metadata to the Shoutcast server is out there. Unforrunately, I haven't seem a program yet that will take the output of the automation and post it to the shoutcast server

The shoutcast server embeds the metadata into the stream, not the audio encoder.

Metadata can be done on the Instreamer, but it's VERY difficult! The workaround you are looking for is this: It's perfeclty okay to list the song title data on your web page, and have the page auto update with each new song. This satisfies the RIAA requirement.
