One thing I've noticed that aside from WAGA "Fox 5", nobody in this market streams their newscasts online for those may not have access to a TV during the key times. You would think that considering Atlanta is one of the most "wired" cities in the nation that all the stations with news operations would stream their newscasts. Most people know that stations that want to survive have made their newscasts as accessible to everybody as possible with more people rather having a reliable internet connection over cable or satellite.
Actually, WAGA has went backwards since they used to stream all their newscasts like all their other FOX O&O sister stations, but only does it on weekdays since the end of last summer. WSB-TV never streams considering they are the market powerhouse in ratings and billing, yet all the Cox radio stations does. WXIA only streams when there is severe weather or major news story, and the only time I've seen WGCL stream was during a major severe weather outbreak last spring (2009) when Laura Huckabee was still the evening meteorologist. I know smaller markets where all the news stations stream their newscasts, yet this major and "wired" market is lacking.
What's up with the lack of newscast streaming in Atlanta?
