Streaming

Entercom in Buffalo has most of it's stations now streaming on the internet. The only station that you can't "Listen Live" is Star 102.5. Good move by Enter com doing this.

The question is, why the Queen Of The Cluster isn't streaming. Star 102.5 is the ratings and (FM) revenue champ for Entercom Buffalo. It would be the first station I'd have up and running. Could be it'll happen any day now.

As to streaming in this market, you have to hand it to Citadel which beat everybody else to the punch and has a pretty decent sound on all three of its FMs.

Question about streaming: You have to wonder what percentage of available local at-work listeners will bother. If the station has a strong signal, as most Buffalo FMs do, it's more than likely in-office and at-work listeners would prefer hearing the station on the radio. The exception to this, for in office listening, would be The Lake, which has a weak city signal and doesn't penetrate many of Buffalo's downtown office buildings.

It maybe a question of convience, for people who work in offices where radios can't be playing in the background, they may find it easier to plug their headphones into their computer and listen online rather than set up a radio and do it that way.
