Streaming

Do radio stations that stream on the internet have a way of measuring the amount of listeners they have and if so does that affect the amount they charge for commercials the way the ratings do?
Thanks,
Ron

they can tell how many people access, but as of right now, it's not affecting numbers, it is affecting rates, but not much...YET

Many (some?) stations are selling internet spots as well as banners and other revenue generating items. So the "ratings" the streaming provider provides are rapidly becoming important.
