Can anyone tell me why their sound quality sounds like mp3's that have been shrunk down to mono at 96kbs?
 
Sounds like a web stream feeding the transmitter. The processing sounds good but it's can't compensate for the low quality feed.
 
I never forgave Equity Broadcasting (R.I.P.) for changing the format of then newly-LMA'd 101.1 back in April 1997, the only real modern rock station Little Rock AR ever had (albeit flawed).  Of that station's glory days (at least for music) were late 1994-early 1996 before it morphed into "The Zone".

2011 version of 101.1 (KZTS):  crap signal, crap music, crap corporate radio.  How can a 850W FM station compete with the same format as KIPR 92.3?  *shakes head*
 
Signal is pretty good. It may only be 850 watts but it is at 800 feet. Seems to do much for in car listening. I could hear out much farther than the other class A's in town when I passed through for thanksgiving.

I did enjoy the days of KDRE.
 
Streetz 101.1 is more hip-hop heavy than Power 92.3 which has more R&B. Memphis has a similar situation with 97.1 and 107.1 competing. 107.1 is mostly hip-hop but has a much weaker signal.

It sound like they have every local advertiser in the city
on the air Clubs, Apparrel stores, Cell phone stores, Attorneys, schools and more
so Somebody must be doing something correct ! No Name has a Job!
also my friend informed me that they're in the top 5 18-34 and tied with Power
92.3 for Teens!
So maybe Hip Hop is not your thing? Don't Listen !!!!!1
 
LOL at stevejones, opinions are like assholes, everybody has one. If folks think no name is an idiot, that is their right. if they tried to listen to streets and they think they have crappy sound quality and weak signal it is their right. in addition, it is not difficult to tie power 92. Power 92 is not even trying. They are just relying on their default heritage and 100k watts. The PD doesn't even know how to schedule music and his recurrents are non existent. So with that said, and along with cheap radio spots i would not brag about being tied with power 92. You should be kicking their ass.
