Strobes of Ads for 'Classic' Radios

Am thinking that it's just people like me who innocently went internet surfing for a backup AM DX radio recently. Anyone else here being inundated by ads and pictures of everything from refitted HQ Super-Pro 600's to crystal kits and every bloody form of radio ever manufactured in between?
A dozen times a day these things pop up like weed. There are even several I used to own, like barbershop Zeniths with tubes and Lafayette 600's that are 55 years old.
'Plugged-in' ..... 'Works', .... 'previously owned' ..... 'Clean' .... free shipping' : Yeah, right. One eBay purveyor with a 5 1/2-star rating and a 99.6% approval trophy is either going to shape up or is fated to get a napalming performance critique from me for the way he's handled matters -- and soon.
Good buddy of mine has told of a few other recent problems and dissatisfactions he's seen eroding eBay -- and he is nowhere into radio and DX the way we are.

For instance: What looks like a new Eton 'field radio' pops up nowadays more often than my meds do. Heck -- ANY portable can be called a 'field radio'. I doubt it's intended to be anything special, yet someone wants $248 for one and promotes it as if it's a Potomac. Is it only a decent rig worth maybe $79? Since I bought a Grundig S 450 'field radio' that was $25 (from when Radio Shack was going belly up) and it was a glorified POS that basically committed plastic suicide within a few months, I've been more skeptical than ever about ANY product, old or new.
Thanx for the attention for the rant.

Sounds like your web browser is allowing other people to track your searches, then inundate you with unwelcome ads. I suggest you check the privacy and security settings in your browser. Consider adding an extension like Ghostery to your browser to stop tracking and block ads.
