Strong tropo in NJ 6/15-6/16

nd2023

Banned
One of the strongest tropo openings I've DXed in Bordentown, NJ. Some highlights include HD reception of 4 Baltimore stations, 250 mile HD tropo, 400 mile analog tropo to NC, several more HD stations, and static-free reception of some Virginia Beach stations while driving around.

Some real nice DX there! I benefited from the tropo here in Poughkeepsie, NY, although all my DXing was done on DTV.

Two new logs, including WSKY-4 (digital ch 9) from Manteo, NC during the overnight hours. 385 miles.

And, from your neck of the woods, WNJT-52 (digital 43) Trenton, NJ around 8am, coming in nicely over regular WCWN from Schenectady. I've tried for WNJT a number of times over the past year, but this is the first time they made it here, at 112 miles. At the same time, most of the Philly DTV's were coming in quite well, including KYW-3, WPVI6, WCAU-10, WHYY-12, WPHL-17, WNJS-23 WYBE-35, WPSG-57, and WUVP-65.

Looks like the weather could bring more good tropo as we head into the weekend.

Huge e-skip in the northeast yesterday (6/16/10 4pm - 6pm) (Chester county/Suburban Philly pa.)

Many, Many stations from Arkansas, Louisianna, & Alabama. Logged some new ones I never got before.

In the Morning there was strong Dxing from Long Island NY & New York City and Harrisburg Pa. westward were coming in like locals.

It was a strange weather day here yesterday.
