STU NAHAN

This is sure a bad year for the passing of Los Angeles broadcasting icons, first with the passing of Hal Fishman, and now sportscaster Stu Nahan. I guess Hal was good pals with Stu Nahan seeing how he would CONSTANTLY rib him over this, that, or what.

Emmett Miller while a good newsreader will never be the journalist Hal Fishman or Stu Nahan was....

also, Stu was very good friends with the late Jim Healy, with Healy ribbing Stu on the air, especially about the time while doing morning sports at KABC, instead of saying that "the Reds beat the ASTROS 4-3", he said the the "Reds beat the ******* 4-3. (The LA Dodgers were involved with the Houston Astros in a fight for thr NL West Crown, late in '79, 80, or 81.) You can find the clip on the Jim Healy tribute site, just google "Jim Healy tribute site", & you should find it. "Silvertip Stu" was Jim's pet name for Nahan on his nightly radio broacasts, But Stu took it all in as good-natured fun, and it was.

This is the actual wording from the radio show that regards the on-air oops.
