STUDIO 54 ON CH. 15

Scheduled to be on 15, why not 54 within the Dance neighborhood?

Doesn't sound bad for what it is. Granted I'm not a huge fan of disco but it's not bad. However, I think it's funny how long some of these songs are. I had a drive from one town to the next (about ten minutes apart) and the same song was on until I got out of my truck to get out at a store. Wow! But not bad overall. Good presentation. And I, too, would like to see it move to channel 54. Just seems fitting.

Try Symphony Hall sometime. ;D

I've noticed from half attention listening a lack of repeat music so far. Admittedly, I could be wrong, but if not, it's a significant difference between The Strobe and Studio 54. The Strobe was a top 40 format, with disco music. Studio, if I'm on track, is a more AOR format, with disco music.

Being a fan of disco music, I'm happy with what I've heard. How central they get on a theme of Studio 54 is what I'm interested to see. Mix shows would be nice, which they had at 54, but branching out, and building off the culture that developed worldwide off what Studio 54 helped trigger opens up a wide library of international music, and coverage, and helps stay away from too much repeating, and boredom, no matter how much you liked the music.

So far I like what I hear. Yes, they are the album or 12-inch versions they are playing, but they are pure disco highlighted by the musical arrangements featuring strings and horns...and no silly songs like Disco Duck. Well I haven't heard it, but let's hope that is not on the playlist.
