Studio Location

It is in Fishkill on Route 52 off I-84.

Very wierd. WLNA, WHUD are Peekskill radio stations and they 25 miles from Peekskill.

Doesn't the actual studio have to be .5 microvolts from the xmitter??

73.1125 - Station main studio location.

(a) Except for those stations described in paragraph (b) of this section, each AM, FM, and TV broadcast station shall maintain a main studio at one of the following locations: (1) Within the station's community of license; (2) At any location within the principal community contour of any AM, FM, or TV broadcast station licensed to the station's community of license; or (3) Within twenty-five miles from the reference coordinates of the center of its community of license as described in 73.208(a)(1).

What's even more funny is you aren't able to pick up WBPM in Beacon due to WRRV 92.7 from Middletown.

Fybush would know this better. But I think as long as you are 60db in your city of license, you are still good.

To my knowledge, WLNA is piping the audio down Route 9 to the Dogwood site.
And WHUD is definitely still on the Continental Village stick. So while the studio is 25 miles away, their signals are still eminating from their city of license. So if they are 60db in their COL, they are probably okay.

They do quite a bit of stuff for Peekskill on the air.

When Pamal took over WBPM they had problems getting the programming from the studio to the TX site . First they tried IDSN then an STL . The STL worked ok until the foliage grew back on the trees. The distance was just to great . Eventually they got it straightened out ,and I was under the impression that they did it by moving the studio to Kingston, perhaps in the old WGHQ building . I heard on numerous occasions on air staff , saying “ Here in Kingston”. The offices etc are located in Beacon .
