Studio packages

I remember back not too long ago, a company outside Philly called LPB offered complete studio packages including consoles, mikes, cd players and even an automation system. Does anybody know what happened to them, or can lend some assistance in finding studio packages? Thanks for your input.

LPB is pretty much dead since they are trying to avoid past creditors and those they own money and/or product to. Probably best to look at the BSW route or other similar vendors for assistance.

Yes, first find someone local who can install the equipment for you. Then BSW (BSWUSA.com) would be a good source for the equipment. Also, you can try your local RFS office (rfspec.com), especially the larger items, e.g. consoles.

TechNet Systems Group ... I use them exclusively ... (603)483-5365 ... ask for Steve.

Pretty much any broadcast equipment dealer is able to put together a package for you. Whether its SCMS, BSW or BGS. They usually don't have the option of offering installation but some do and can at least put you in contact with a contract engineer to do the physical install. And ALL of them will give you a better price if you buy soup to nuts.

BTW- whatever is left of LPB (the good part anyway) is Dave Strode of Sandies. He is making his own little analog mixer.

Dave was probably the last good thing about LPB. Whgen he left I knew the end was near. I'm was happy to discover he picked up the former Fidelipak/Dynamax console line.
