Stupid Management Tricks

There was a station,4 towers, whose owner decided to sell the transmitter site with the provision that he could keep his towers there. The new owner built a mobile trailer park in and around the towers. It was all very nice then the FCC told the radio station owner he needed to put in a new ground system. How this was resolved, I don't know. Not to mention how the mobile homes affected his coverage.
Another station had to build new studios and offices. The cheap owner didn't pave the parking lot which became a quagmire when it rained.Oh ,one thing, they forgot to put in restrooms and had to use Jobsite Johnnies,
One station hired a new GM. The station was just about bankrupt and this genius doubled the rates saying that he has nothing coming in now and soon he will double nothing. Can anyone explain that?

A newly constructed station I worked at years ago (now WDLT-FM in Mobile Alabama, and since moved from the story location) had there tower put up, and when it was discovered there was not enough room on the property for the guide wires, the owner tried to buy up the back 2 acres of an old cemetary next door. The cemetary owner seeing he had the radio station by the...errr...ahhh...you know whats...squeezed him and made him buy like 25 individual cemetary plots at top dollar, so he had a place for that last tower guide wire to go.
