It's been several months since STW cut it's PD and night show. Any thoughts on how they're sounding these days?

Same as always. Scott Arnold is still filling in at nights...or he's gotten the job permanently. No noticeable change
in programming. Whatever the game plan is, IF there is one, they are not making a big splash right away. That's
probably the right route to take. Despite their lowered ratings, they are still one of the bigger stations in the Wilmington
market, no need to blow the whole thing up. That said, some changes should be made. Let's see what happens come fall.

I am not a steady listener of either WJBR or WSTW. But I am frequently in businesses which carry one or the others station and I am listening for about an hour each time. One thing I sense is that something seems to be missing in the on-air sound at STW. It's hard to explain, but there is something more "complete" about the WJBR presentation than that on 93.7. Maybe its the air personality or the liners, but something seems to be missing at STW. If anyone notices this also, please comment. Or if you disagree, pleasse comment!

There are pieces of WSTW that are still very good (A-Game, Mike Rossi), and some that are quite poor. The one that I've always that was a problem was the morning show. Dana McDonald is a great guy, and a fine personality. Like Johnny B before him (and for a short time, Logan), he has to do it all himself. Whatever charm Jill Quale had with John Wilson is long since gone. It's most evident on the days that Dana (or JB) have off, and Jill is left driving the show. It's the pure definition of "painfully awkward". Nothing more than time/temp/liner card, and off to traffic. Cristin, who works the Saturday night show, and has filled in for the morning show before when Jill has off, would be a much better replacement.

The morning show kinda sets the tone for the day, and frankly, when I hear STW's mornings, it makes me turn to another station or CD.

Wstw should try taking a listen to there sister stations morning show on eagle 97.7, it's head and shoulders above there bigger sister.
Maybe they should think about moving the eagle morning show up to wstw as it has a much bigger sound, funny how sometimes smaller stations in a group sound better than there flagships, if i was in charge i would be swapping the two around.
The eagle morning show has a big station sound to it, doesn't at all sound like it belongs in a small market and i know an awful lot of people who have made the move to eagle 97.7 in the mornings
Just my thought as i listen to both everyday on my drive from dover to willmington to work

While I think the addition of "The Brit" was a good one at Eagle, especially considering how big the shoes
of Steve West were to fill, I think Eagle suffers from the same syndrome of a female co-host
with no personality. In the times I've heard Eagle (not recently, but back in the spring), she
sounded dull, boring, and dry. A couple of big no-no's for any form of radio, especially morning
shows. Not saying she has to be fake and giggly (i.e.: Philadelphia Top 40 morning shows), but
at least show SOME personality.

Just thought i'd stop by while i'm having my lunch,i agree with what you mean about co-host's
but in the time i've been listening she seems to be very much part of the show, i agree it was a bit dull when she was on her own, but now it is a great listen.
Very different though to anything else in delaware and it is a true stand out when you listen elsewhere, where the other shows are doing all the usual stuff, i just wonder how long they will remain at eagle 97.7.
Agreed if you listen to some philly stations there morning shows are dreadful,i just hope that these guys stay in the delaware market for years to come.
