Some have been wondering why LightTV (which was not all that bad) on 5.4 has gone dark. Owner and TV entrepreneur Byron Allen who has come a long way since his days on Real People (1979-83) is launching a national Black news channel January 15th which will replace it. Byron Allen’s Light TV Will Transition To ‘TheGrio.TV’ Next Month – Deadline I'm not sure why they decided to pull the plug on LightTV instead of letting it continue until Jan. 15th. THEN, they are calling the new channel TheGrio.TV (which means "storyteller" in Africa) doesn't really roll off your tongue. It makes me wonder who is in control and if they really have all their ducks in a row. Stay tuned!
