Subbing for Allen's show.

Tony Farr hasn't been in for Matt Allen since I think Christmas. Tonight Tony Cornetta (Yorke Producer)
is filling in. Something gotta be up No?
 
Coretta speaks too fast, like somebody is chasing him out the studio. This must have been a favor for Yorke or maybe at wpro , you are given subbing spots for being his producor. Thats what Allen used to do. Just once I'd like to hear a Liberal-Moderate, but I guess thats Jim Hummle.
 
Only heard about 2 hours . It was "What do you think radio''. This kid was actually defending Michael Jackson and the callers gave him hell about his stance.
 
Heard some of the program, Tony is bright, even handed, open minded,
good host

I suspect they fear that tony Farr may go off on a litigious tangent. It is the same mantra with Tony Farr. Some justified some just same old neo con pablum.

Need to hear more Ronald Reagan Republicans to I think, hold the public's interest. Not the Neo Con pablum which has disabled this country for 8 years, and has caused the numbers of disabled and dead military men and women.

Tony r. I was just looking at some of your older posts and you were praising Farr, humm. I certianly don't think he's a 'Neo Con' for a second. He and Matt Allen are just traditionalists..
Anyway, I think WPRO brought Farr there just to mess with WHJJ. From what I've heard the GM heard Tony going after Hillary Clinton and Tony hates Clinton and that was his ending. ( GM is a big Hillary Fan) The GM also sent a memo to all talk hosts saying the use of the following words were prohibited ' fat ass, sissy bitch, ***, midget, balls, jerk off.' They may as well have a gun to their heads I guess.
As for Tony Cornetta subbing, I heard that was a favor to Yorke from the PD. Tony sounded like a young guy (producer) filling in for a host. pretty much nothing more, but Yorke needs to pamper Tony C for all the humilitaing ways he treats Tony on the air. By the way, I know both Tony's and they are nice guys. I hope they both prosper.
 
You folks are reading way to far into this. If PRO brings in Farr to sub, they have to pay him. If they have Cornetta do it, they just tell him to come in an hour later 3 days to make up for the extra hours. It's even easier with the mid day, having 2 hosts means one can take time off and no need for a replacement. In the mornings, the promotions girl does Tara's job while Tara hosts. They want as little overtime as possible.

This poster is also correct 100%. I just got word, right after Xmas the GM sent out another of her memo's that WPRO will no longer pay Subs. Jim Hummel is in fact Subbing for free. I know thats hard to believe, but it's true. WPRO has huge salary issues, but not paying subs won't touch them. Wonder what the GM is thinking? Poor Hummel. He has a wife and kids.
 
I've never heard Cornetta but I find it funny that there's all this in depth critiqueing of someone who is probably on the air only because they don't have to pay him. Hilarious.

It is all pure jealousy....watch, we'll get people comments even after many previous posts stating 'I don't listen to WPRO"
 
Pay Hummel!

Yea, Tony C. is a Sports guy. He'd like to do the Saturday show, from what I've heard..

I also heard Hummel is not getting paid.. Wow! He's a big name and come on WPRO ! Hummel is worth 200 a show at least. 70,000 people is what he is doing for you. Cheap skates!
