Subscribing To Arbitron

So if no one, other than Townsquare Media, is subscribing to Arbitron in East Texas...Does it make the Fall and Spring ratings kinda moot (other than used for agency and national buys)? And can a station claim to be "#1 Anything" if they don't subscribe? Just a curious thought I had this afternoon.

Not if you're Townsquare or an advertiser! After all, they get to see the complete ratings. Ratings, especially in small markets, are really more for advertisers anyway, though they're obviously helpful to stations.

Sure. They may be #1 in cats and dogs listening, but they can certainly claim it!
