Suburban Philadelphia Standards Station?

A few years ago WPEN 950AM had abandoned pop Standards in favor of Oldies.

At the time of the switch, WPEN had respectable ratings. But when they switched, their numbers took a tumble. And they have fallen further with the talk format.

In the New York metro area there's a Long Island station, WHLI 1100AM that plays Standards/AC. But it's only a daytime station.

Is there a suburban station in the Philadelphia area that one can tune in fior Standards?

Thanks,
Kevin L. Sealy

Hi, Kevin. Nice to see you over here.

Short answer: Not really.
Standards station in Wilmington is now syndicated (Fox) sports.
Standards station in Allentown became Oldies and now is religion.
Standards station in Trenton now does syndicated Oldies.

Former WPEN jock Andy Kortman does a brokered Standards morning show on WNJC (1360), and a brokered early Sunday afternoon Standards show on WVLT 92.1FM in Vineland. And former PEN (and former WIP, WFIL and KYW) jock Wee Willie Webber continues late Sunday afternoon with Standards on WVLT. WVLT also has some Real Oldies programs which include some Standards.

Atlantic City has also lost Standards but still has Oldies.

Closest AM Standards station may be WEST 1400, Easton, PA. its signal can be heard in northern Bucks County during daylight hours. It's 1,000 watts.

1490 WBCB from Doylestown also plays some standards during certain hours of the daytime.
