Sue Leighton is back on the air!

Former WBNS-FM/Mix 97.1 midday personality Sue Leighton AKA "The Sue Show" has joined WLVQ Q-FM 96 for middays 10A-3P as of Monday, May 3, 2010. :)

Nice to see her back. Bright and cheery without overdoing it (OK, maybe once in awhile she could be a little cheesy). Funny, though, LVQ's the last place I would have expected her to land locally. Anyone know if she's been in the industry between Mix 97.1 and now, and where?

Nowhere that I know of.

How long has Joe Show been PD? Megan Slater was PD she hired May 1 2009, replacing Chris Thomas.

That really flew under the radar

I don't know the answer (hope someone does), but regardless it's about time! He should have been made PD years ago. I do recall that he was "PD" of the Big Wazoo (the pc in a closet) for awhile several years back.

Also glad that Sue's back on the air. Best wishes to her.

You know, it's sad when we don't remember a hosts name a major radio station.

Says something about the business.

Was discussing radio with an old friend the other day. We were rattling off the names of evening and night hosts, not just key daypart hosts, when we were first getting into the business. How many of us could do that now?
