Suggestions for Streaming Companies

Hello,

Do you have any suggestions for online streaming companies? We are looking to get one station streaming preferably a barter situation, and provide blocking of commercials, filling with their own content or even ours.

Thanks

I recently setup streaming for a station with a full barter. The company was Crystal Media Networks. I'm not sure of the details of the barter, but the media player they provide is nice and the stream sounds great. They also helped integrate it into the stations Facebook page. They are worth looking into. Just a heads-up though... with the barter contracts, when you say JUMP, they don't ask how high... they take a day or two to call you back.

Barter's a great deal if you can do it. It's hard for non-comms to pull it off without their grant mentions sounding too much like commercials.

We use Crystal Media Networks for our group....barter deal....very easy to configure...tech support is very good (not great), the stream audio is superb...ad insertion is good (changing to Abacast very soon though) and analytic tools. I would recommend CMN.

I have three stations streaming with Crystal Media barter and am very pleased. Never had a problem in the last two years. You are still responsible for the SoundExchange fees, etc., although somewhere along the line I think CM said they would cover the fees as barter too.....but don't quote me on that. Seems I did have a conversation with them about royalty payments at one time or another.

Correct, one option with Crystal Media is add'l barter in exchange for them covering/handling Sound Exchange fees/reporting.
