Summer Arbitrends....

As I am looking at the arbitrend numbers released today, I am wondering why Clear Channel flipped the Fox.

The numbers that they posted for part 2 of the summer are better than anything that they have posted for the past year.. granted all I am seeing is 12+ numbers.. but still. On R&R, the Brew is labeled as "80's Rock"...thoughts?

No surprise, not much change in the Columbus market... Clear Channel is still dominating.. looks as though 97.1's name change may have helped them a little.. Lite FM is just outside the top 10, and Ted just isnt doing anything. Here's a thought... If you put a radio station on the air and knowone can hear it, is it really there?

Thoughts?

I have to laugh to myself as Clear Channel chips away at Sunny and collects money for billboard ads from them at the same time. Aren't there any non-CC billboards left?<P ID="signature">______________

I think 97.1 was probably helped by its music adjustments more than the name change. And with their music and imaging treading a little closer to Ted's turf, 97.1 might have also hurt Ted a bit -- as Ted lost the few tenths of a point it had gained over the past few trends.

Oh yeah there are Lamar billboards around...there's one actually across the street from WBZX/WMNI/WTDA above the Sunoco station. I remember Channel 6 using it for awhile.
