SUMMER BOOK - PHONE BOOK

Sounding like Steve Martin..."the new phone books are here"...
and while wasting time with more coffee this morning, I checked the radio station listings.
Ma Bell isn't paying attention (or the stations aren't)
among my favorite listings...

WNPL "Rooster 106"
WRQQ "Star 97"
WFTV Channel 9 (Chattanooga)
WJZC (former calls for "Jazzy 101")
WMAK-FM "Oldies 96"
WRLG "FM 96"
WYHY "Y-107 FM"
WZEZ "Lite 93 FM"
WZTO "101.1 the One"

all listed in the latest Real Yellow Pages...labeleled 'please recycle after July 2010'

and we wonder why WLAC still gets constant calls for channel 5...after they changed
calls to WTVF back in 1975.

we now return you to "Construction Noise SFX"...already in progress

Mr Romer,

Isn't WFTV in Orlando now? I guess with all the cutbacks in radio, the digital answering system is now handling the sales calls from the phone company...

Chattanooga's Channel 9 is WTVC (We're TV in Chattanooga) and has been since they went on the air.

correct...been that way since moving from Rome, GA...
I blame the lack of coffee for my confusion. WFTV Orlando used to be WLOF long ago, too...

CR ~ It's okay to make a mistake every once in a while ... unless you work aroundtheroundabout where it's SOP.

Chris, I believe I have a music survey (anyone remember those?)

from WLOF. Late 60s maybe.
