Summer Book

All Access did not publish MainLine's numbers. But the other 12+ shares line up with what I've seen in other trades. Grab this quick, it will be down soon.

UNLESS Mainline bought this book...it's possible, because it's Louisville, Possibility City!

was radio-info allowed to show the numbers from the non-subscriber companies?

I wonder if Mainline is subscribing to a round of numbers. They have three stations that have beaten any Cox station in 12+. I am not in favor of “number pushing” local accounts but they might have lost some local buys to someone or group that is showing published ratings to clients. If you are not really familiar with ratings, you might think a non subscribing station has very few listeners, unless you have the time to add up the numbers and see that all 100% is not listed.

Is this the lowest ratings for WHAS in some time?
May be...but what I want to know if why WAMZ went up? They have two competitors that are pulling respectable numbers. Since when has Louisville had 20 shares of Country?

I think we can safely say that moving LRS from Alternative to Talk was a major bust.
How true! I think that the WLRS call letters should move back to 102.3. They could keep the same music format, but become 'LRS 102 once again.
I also noticed that WWPW 104.3 isn't doing too bad with a 1.6. If they moved to 105.9, they could do even better.

Hey, I think WLRS should move back to 102.3 and have the same format they had in the late '60s: beautiful music. They'd be the only station in town doing it! :)

This is not uncommon. All the marketing and attention to one particular format can increase the format share... Didn't Cox run a piss pot full of spots mentioning WAMZ in the commercials?

Where are the women? WVEZ and WXMA are taking major hits. I remember WVEZ use to pull at least a 7.0 in almost every book and I thought The Max use to register at least a three. I wonder if WJIE, KLOVE and perhaps WAY-FM, are becoming stronger competitors with women, especially the "family-friendly" soccer moms. Hopefully, WGTK's addition of Joe Elliot will find them taking a greater bite from WHAS' numbers. As far as LRS, that station's numbers weren't much higher during their last few years as alternative. I've noticed WFIA-FM is experiencing higher numbers then LRS. Hopefully, the addition of three local afternoon shows will result in higher numbers for WFIA-FM. WLOU is the only Davidson station with registering numbers in this book.

At this rate, with the numbers CC is getting, we may hear more of the "Terry Truckstop" show on HAS.

BTW, whats going on with HAS lately? Tonight there's been a bunch of missed cues and wrong switchings, including some program coming out of the blue for 30 seconds at the bottom of the hour. Also, there's been a foghorn buzz happening periodically for the last few weeks. Is the transmitter shorting out?

That was a train wreck today.

Maybe a part of the trouble is, the revolving door of staff is rotating again. Nathan aka "Pimp Juice" is leaving the station for the bright lights of LA

Bottom line, they are probably relying on Prophet and not monitoring like they should. In another thread someone posted an aircheck of WAMZ playing Keith Sweat because nobody was listening as it happened.

It's getting to be November, otherwise noted for the time of year when they cut more staff, right before the holidays.

This happened during Meiners show. C'mon.

I see where djx is kicking 98.9s but!!!  But as far as wlrs they had not been alternative in years. Radio one ruined that!!!But that aside the overall numbers are bad but wouldn't the format be an easier sell cause noone else has talk on fm in this town and they arent selling the same thing everyone else is.  I mean there tunes were tunes you could here on the fox and qmf and sfr so what they are doing is different and i would think a easier sell and plus there isn't much expense in this format.

I think most of there shows they dont pay for just play the commercials from the  shows so revenue wise i bet they are much better off in fact i remember seeing a rating from wlrs several years ago it was a 3.9 and i bet now they make more money then back then.

Wlrs had always been poorly programmed for years and bo so good talent. Feak show joe had no business ever whispering a word on the radio. I know he was cheap n thats why they kept him but still bad call from radio one!!!

How are mandys numbers on whas? I really enjoy her show!!! I see genx numbers have realled dropped quite a bit. I hope they dont tighten the playlist up. It is to tight as it is i mean where is slim shady by eminem or ex girlfriend by no doubt or molly by sponge or dont forget the sunscreen by buz lehrman or clint eastwood by the gorillaz or rockstar by cypress hill these were all top hits in there year but dont here them.so broaden the playlist not tighten it!!!
