With all due respect...what clubs in Miami still play Freestyle? I've clubbed there many times, and I know Russ currently live there.
I think there's only one club for the older crowd that still plays a bit of Freestyle on its Retro nights, and a couple of clubs that focus on Spanish/Latin Salsa, Merengue, and Bachata that play a touch of Freestyle.

As for New York, I think most of the mainstream clubs where the ladies go either play commercial Contemporary Dance (mainly tunes from the past couple of years) and Hip Hop, all Hip Hop, or all-Dance. The true pure Dance clubs like Spirit never play any of it. Maybe there's a couple of spots outside the city, like in Hoboken, NJ where they play a bit of it, or a bit at the Jersey Shore clubs in the summer.
I could be wrong though about NYC, so I apologize in advance.

Re: yes they can

we are not talking about clubs that play freestyle. We are talking about radio. Be only said he didnt want to go to the clubs with us. I dont go to clubs to hear freestyle.

Re: yes they can

You do this all the time. You say something and someone confronts you then you edit your posts. Have the guts to keep a post up there.

Hey Dawn_H,
Well this is a concert series in its 2nd year I believe. They started last year in just a couple of cities including the San Jose and Sacramento, and they had such a good turnout they expanded to several more cities this year including Fresno, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Anaheim, Sacramento, and San Jose, and I think I heard San Diego and Bakersfield. It's generally the same lineup with a few changes from date to date depending on (I presume) artist availabilty for those dates. But a fairly consistent line-up. So at this time i looks like they are doing west coast shows mostly, but there are regularly scheduled concerts in places like New York, Miami and Texas, sometimes Chicago as well, but more spotty. In New York, you can find them pretty regularly.

For some of the "hard core" freestyle fans, you described it pretty well. A good portion of the average listeners out there consider it all freestyle.

They're getting there but some of them look pretty darn good!

....As for Stevie B... He has had more hits,

He has a really good high energy performance for someone his age. By the way, he just put out a new album. Oh, but of all the performances, you've got to see Johnny O dance! He'll have you cracking up.

Ive only done that one other time. That was with the missunderstanding that Iparty radio was stealing Mikeos listeners... That was all cleared up, and me, and Mikeo both appologized, we both know who he is, and that it was an accident, the post was edited because there was no need for the negativity to be posted there, once it was cleared up. (IPARTYRADIO) is pheniminally programed BTW, It would work on FM in a heartbeat. A cross between the old version of Energy 98, and Energy 92.7 (SAN FRANCISCO), which are the Best of the Energys still in existance The above post, I modified, Becuase you made it look like I intentional Personally attacked Dawn H. Which I wasnt doing. It was simply my way of saying (DAMN, another batch of Wash ups for one low price), Which I have a right to my opinion Brett, just like you and everyone else did. So Dawn H, has my appologies if it was taken the wrong way, but no appologies for you Brett, because you attacked me first, and wont let it rest

Oh okay, my bad. Now I understand, and yes the clubs in NYC and Miami rule, but there are some good clubs in the Midwest too.

Yeah I agree, freestyle had nothing to do with the fall of party.
Not only are Stevie B, Rockell and others still getting play, their new songs are starting to make their way onto radio. This is music NEEDED on dance radio. The familiarity you mentioned is right on point too. It makes some songs on a dance station instantly recognizeable to the "un-hardcore" dance fans... the sizeable casual listener audience that is out there.
