SUMMER OF ME-TV........IS IT WORKING ?

Different shows each night.....what's on when.....who's on first? I find it a bit confusing and
seem to like the same show each night at the same time. May be a nice, cute idea, but I
don't think it is working for Me-TV, as I am watching less.

For some folks "The Summer of Me" is a good idea, as it may feature programs they miss early in the day. For example, I'm not always awake early Sunday morning to watch "Get Smart". Since that program is part of "The Summer of Me", I now have better chances of watching an episode more often (I do not own any of the DVDs for the program yet).

I hope the Me-TV Network does something similar for the programs of the "Ani-Me-TV" programming block. I wish to see episodes of "Gumby" more often, particularly the episodes presented during the "Gumby Adventures" series. Some folks may not like the redubbed versions of the episodes from the 1950s and the 1960s, but those versions were among the first episodes of "Gumby" I've ever seen and I never had problems with them (I still liked watching the episodes with their original soundtracks broadcast by the Me-TV Network recently).

When the weather is nice and the sun stays up till 9, people aren't watching as much
in the early hours of prime time. Can't hurt I suppose.

I am watching because I've not had Get Smart or Green Acres available locally for quite a long time.

I think it would be fun if they could occasionally put shows in the original time slot they were in when they originally aired. Brady Bunch, Odd Couple or Rockford on Friday. Hawaii 5-0 Thursday, Happy Days/Laverne and Shirley on Tuesday, Gunsmoke on Monday etc. Throw in a few retro commericals from the time period and maybe get some old looking 70's graphics and it would be like a flashback to your childhood. If I'm not mistaken ABC did something similar to that a few years ago on a Friday night. If done correctly it would look like you were in some sort of time warp. It would be fun to see. i might even fire up the old 1974 RCA floor model TV that sits unused in the corner. I think it still works.

@Mario: Were these the episodes of Gumby from the late '80's/early '90's?

^No, they were the episodes from the 1950s and the 1960s with their original soundtracks. The Me-TV Network presented them in between the opening for "The Gumby Show" first broadcast in 1967 and the closing for "Gumby Adventures" first broadcast in 1988.
