KIIS back on top 12+. KPWR, KXOL, and KDAY also showed gains - likely due to the demise of KKBT as a hip-hop station. Looks like it was decent for African American comp and L.A. County this month.

The changes at KYSR don't seem to be working right now - down to their lowest shares we've seen in quite some time, if not ever. KLSX also appears off in July.

Seems like Power 106 and KXOL are the two biggest benefactors of the KKBT flip. The new "Beat" format is hanging in - not down from where it was - but not taking off by any means - and seems to be having very little or no effect on KHHT and KJLH early on.

Doesn't appear to have been a Spanish-language (any insight David?) - although that will all even out at the end of the book.
 
Are Carolla's numbers still in the tank or his he the one solid show on KLSX with all the other dayparts dragging the numbers down? That seems to be the case in NYC where O&A have put life into the station yet their other dayparts don't seem to be helping the cause.

My take is that there were too many English dominant Hispanic diaries, which is why KIIS, Hot and KPWR went up, naturally along with KXOL. The increase was far more than the amount of audience possibly freed by The Beat, which did not have much Hisanic listening left, anyway.

Hot, KIIS and KBIG as well as KYSR are going to be whacked big time by Movin'. The mix is right on for 25-44 Hispanic females, and when Dees and his crew hit, it will be one major disaster for clear Channel. I surveyed a group of second generation Hispanic women in the demo, and they already had found it! This is pretty amazing, indicating a very strong need for this format.
