Summer phase II

Cumulus showed pretty well...except for The Fan>>>Isn't it time for format number 512? Yeah, The River, but what do you expect?
Where is the new push from Cromwell's John King. Just too quiet over there.

It's funny that I keep reading on this board about the demise of Jack-FM and how it has worn out it's welcome on the Nashville airways, but judging by the latest books, it looks like it hanging on at/near the top of the ratings in Nashville.

I also noticed that 104.5 the Zone was nowhere to be found in the top ten. Do you think their numbers may go up if EVERY ON-AIR PERSONALITY didn't spend their ENTIRE TIME ON THE AIR KISSING THE BUTTS of any and everyone associated with the Tennessee Titans, from Bud Adams, Floyd Reese and Jeff Fisher down?

I would be thrilled of 104.5 The Zone would tell Darren McFarland to let guests and hosts finish their sentences before he interrupts.

Jack is falling apart. Ratings mean nothing. When you're number one, it's still not good enough.
Jack could do better if it would play mainstream songs with jocks like everybody else. There,
said it. It's a joke. Actually, this is a joke. I haven't seen that much negative energy being
promoted on Jack here on the Nashville board.

Have you been listening to the Zone lately? They've been trashing the Titans like everyone else has. To be fair, one caller took them to task for not going off on Floyd Reese while he is actually on the air with them, which I think would be pretty unprofessional, but otherwise they haven't been pulling any punches.

Well, 'GFX is in a tough position that no one ever dreamed would happen, especially this early in the season.
The only way they'll get respect and ratings is to trash and run off the very institution that financially
funds their success. It's a no win situation and hence, reflecting in the ratings. The Preds will save 'em, right?

Haynesworth added some extra listenership for Monday.

Folks, sports stations and shows get some of their best numbers when things aren't going well for two reasons: 1) people want a place they call into and gripe, and 2) misery loves company. No, these last couple of weeks have been a boon to 'GFX.

These local sports stations like GFX are getting blown out of the air by channels like Sirius NFL channel...high quality talk hosts plus they have the big names like Jeff Fisher, Bullock, etc. Too bad Titans is the only team whose local play by play is not up on satellite...but then this might be a good period not to hear the homers.

let me be technical: "huh?" In the same post, you mention Sirius and the NFL...then state the
Titans aren't on satellite. Did I miss something?
All the area teams have radio networks...delivered to affiliates via satellite.
Titans do their own network...and very well.
UT/VU/PREDS/MTSU are all distributed on satellite via CC/TRN...AMC-8 T1 139 degrees etc...
The colleges are also heard on XM and or Sirius...PREDS on both XM and Sirius.

Now then, how is is that GFX is being 'blown out of the air' (?) by Sirius NFL?
Show of hands of everyone with Siruis...oh.
