Believe it or not, all because you don't like one-sided idiot conspiracy right wing propaganda talkradio doesn't mean you give a crap about the Kardashians or America Idol.

Some people like hearing reasonable and passionate conversation---based in REALITY, not what WBEN does.

Actually, that is exactly what WBEN does. Except for 9 hours a day when they have right wing talk. Some of us change the channel as this is New York State.

But once again, they didn't change to Randi or Alan on 1520, otherwise they'd still be on the air. They wanted to hear what was going on with the Kartrashian's. Or maybe have WBLACK blaring with their tinted windows going 50 down Main street.

And honestly, that's no loss of "reasonable and passionate" conversation. Chances are, you wouldn't be able to understand what they were saying, anyway.

Entercom had to abandon the WBEN FM simulcast.
If WBEN is their most important station, that move speaks volumes.
The audience is aging and shrinking...

Because if you have FM radio, you don't have AM radio, right? LOL
Anyone who listened on the FM station (which you can't hear in downtown Buffalo, anyway) is most likely listening on the AM station, except for those in Rochester. And even some in Rochester are listening online.

The aging audience is shrinking, and the younger audience is growing. Does your ratings data show you that?

That's absurd. WBEN isn't gaining younger listeners.
Entercom tried a simulcast and the ratings DECLINED with 2 signals.

Tune in between 3 and 7. I've heard a significant number of under 40, probably even under 30 callers just today. And women.

Of course you won't hear the same between 9 and noon. These people work.

And the best interview was when they invited two liberals to the news show and one gave the other...a mayor...a nervous breakdown. And WBEN is the crazy station.

Of course, as usual, they were reporting (or attempting to report) both sides of the topic. But not everyone is past a first grade level, Mayor Dyster.
