Summer Trends Part 1

Top 5 in the Miami, Ft. Laurderdale-Hollywood

1. WHQT (Urban AC)
2. WCMQ (Spanish Oldies)
3. WLYF (AC)
4. WAMR (Spanish Contemporary)
5. WEDR (Urban)

WMXJ is doing ok, but fell a few points. At least there is an oldies outlet and 97.3 The Coast should give up the AC format and go Jack. Lite FM will always beat them.

From what I understand, Lite FM bills very well, and it does have a loyal following. I would like to see it go Jack as well, but I doubt that will happen.

LITE FM go JACK.........

Not a chance. Ditto goes for MAJIC. The day those two flip to anything else than what they're rolling with now, every horse in South Florida will, one, grow wings and fly; and two, be news of the millenium when Metro Traffic reports Pegasus the Mobil Gas Horse came to life, multiplied rapidly, and started a traffic jam when they all got loose on the Turnpike.

Right, Lite FM will not go Jack. The Coast should.<P ID="signature">______________

All Majic has to do is broaden out into the 80's and early 90's while playing the core Oldies and there's no room for Jack. Look at what CC is doing in Palm Beach with their old Oldies FM. Pretty good numbers. There won't be a Jack in Miami anytime soon.

I assume you are talking about WOLL "Kool 1055"? Well, it would be interesting competition with the oldies, rock, and AC stations. Even between Miami and West Palm Beach, competition could be tight if we saw "97.3 Jack FM".
