Boston Herald: She said that Graham’s description of Islam as a “terrorist organization” is a form of “hate speech.” Peter Smyth, chief executive of Greater Media, said he thinks Graham learned his lesson in Washington and will “not be demeaning” to groups on WTKK.

“I think he’s a very bright guy,” said Smyth, adding the audience reaction to Graham’s recent two-week tryout to replace Severin was “incredibly positive.”

Ouch...

The shocker for me is that he didn't apologize for the remarks on WMAL-630 (the Washington station). He would have still had the D.C. jobs had he softened his remarks. Apparently, on one of his shows, he mentioned the works "Islam is a terrorist organization" 23 times.

If Smyth thinks that Graham has changed his tune, he doesn't need to look further than Graham's own website, where he convinces himself that his remarks were correct. In Boston, an equal or more liberal climate than Washington, I can't see how Graham's show will fail to ignite liberal and Islamic groups.

He should thank his God that he doesn't work for WRKO. One comment like that for John Osterland fired from WRKO's morning show.

Graham did very well in Richmond, which is what got him the gig in DC. He had only been in Wash for a year or so, hardly enough time to recover from having replaced Sam Donaldson.

However, it didn't seem to be clicking at WMAL for MG, which is probably why management seized the opportunity to dump him. And perhaps Graham was smart enough to see that the best way to salvage the situattion was to take the opporutnity to walk away and wrap himself in the flag of truth-fighter.

(BTW, in my judgement people who get fired for stepping over the imaginary line are in line for executtion already)

(BTW2 - Graham doesn't have a brand of talk. He is a talk host. Does it very much like 90% of the world of talk hosts. Better than most, from what I've heard of him on wmal, although he hasn't yet shown Severin's ability to make you feel like something special is going on.)
