Sunbeam silent on ABC Miami plans.

Are they going to simulcast 7news or have separate news on 7.2 or a mixture of both. Are they gonna air wsvn syndication in different slots. This is about 6 weeks away

Have a feeling they'll be info coming really soon, looks like off of this as WSVN's marketing campaign is getting ready to be unveiled, it'll be a simulcast, akin to KPHO(CBS)/KTVK here in Phoenix.

Why do they need to simulcast on a LP station that is completely inside WSVN's service area?
In the other thread, I put forth the theory that they would change the VC of 7.2 to 18.1 (still coming from WSVN's full-power RF channel). Hence, 18.1 would become a full-power signal (though not the junk subchannels that are a part of virtual channel 18, which would remain on their current weak low power signal).

I seriously hope that's what they'll do. It only makes sense. Simulcasting on a LPTV channel seems stupid.

The CEO of WPLG-TV issues statements reminding OTA viewers to prepare for the day ABC moves to WSVN-TV's subchannel as ABC Miami. For WPLG-TV specifically its about doing more "local content" taking over the spots vacated by ABC.

So will 7.2 remap to 18.1 just like the Low Power signal they will be on also.
7.2 and 18.1 both show up in WSVN's signal table. WDFL-LD I presume shut off their 18.1 entry in their signal table to allow for WSVN to do this. There was no way in hell WSVN would settle for only being available on 18.1 at 1000 watts.
