Sunday Nightline

ABC is broadcasting a Sunday edition of Nightline, focusing on the hurricane aftermath and Justice Rehnquist's death.
I am guessing they are trying to make up for the lack of news in the East thanks to golf, something they should have farmed out to ESPN as it approached the 6PM hour.<P ID="signature">______________

Since golf coverage was scheduled to run from 5-7 all along, I don't think it would have been appropriate to bump it. If it had run long, that's a different story, but it was ABC's plan all along to not have news during the 6 PM hour on Sunday and they were contractually obligated to stay with it.

ABC could have given the 7-7:30 P.M. EDT half-hour to local stations in the Eastern and Central time zones for local news and run "World News Sunday" at 7:30 P.M. EDT.
