Sunday TODAY is unwatchable if you're a guy

You did not have to narrow your question to one group of persons of the same age (why 22 anyway?). If you want to see a news program on Sunday mornings that would appeal to folks of many ages, I would suggest "CBS News Sunday Morning" as an alternative to "Today", even though they are usually broadcast at different times.

Right. Or go to church, as I do. Unless you're Jewish or otherwise don't have a religion with Sunday morning services.

I also listen to "Car Talk" while I'm still at home, to get what I missed on Saturday. Unfortunately, to remember to do that, I end up on the female-sounding "Morning Edition".

Lifestyle segments are among the elements of "Today". When I think about the history of the program, I think about how it starts the day for its viewers and listeners with news and weather in addition to lifestyle segments. Even with lifestyle segments, the program could be good; it just needs improvement in many areas such as news content and presentations (more objectivity).

Exactly. And at least some of the segments can be more gender neutral. That's all I'm saying. Why does every piece have to have an obvious female slant? Lifestyle news doesn't have to be synonymous with female news -- and frankly, if I were a female I'd be insulted that the network suits think so little of me that all I care about is Hollywood gossip, the Royal family, women's sports and tabloid child-killing moms.
