Did they hire anyone?

I don't know the answer to your question. But, somehow, Rick seems to know I'm a big Simon & Garfunkel fan, in response to my submission for the gig, all I've gotten is "The Sound of Silence"! :D

They might have died laughing from my really corny knock-knock joke & MP3 spoof I sent them. ;)

In the rummer mill and for the sake of not wanting to deliver the bad news flash, but I'll love letting it slip anyway, according to what we've heard, DJ MO as it stands now would most likely be at the top of the very, very long "Sunny" list, of course that's always subject to change without "Sunny 105.9FM" notice! So perhaps holding one's breath is not applicable at the moment, for the few, just dying to have that job and only finding oneself in the bottomless-pit in what appears to be a very very, and I mean very LONG list. Please give Rick Stacy credit where credit is do.. He's smarter then you think and knows good talent when he sees it....

DJ Mo has talent, lot's of talent, on-air and behind the scenes and he's got my vote....!

Not to mention I also applied for the Programming & Production Internship they have up now, & countless other positions since 2005 (Has it already been 7 years without a PAID radio position?) that's got the Human Resources Lady/Receptionist knowing my name every time I walk in from the elevators at CBS Radio Orlando. She's only seen me once this year when I was submitting a mix for a DJ competition 102 Jamz was doing. I ended up with free tix to watch the event, & someone from Jamz spotted me in the crowd there, approached me, & said "Nice mix you sent us."
So I know they know me.

Thanks for the kind words, Stormychuck.
One day, I will make it.
The smart one will finally hire me.
But for now, I'm just a sitting duck at WPRK, also producing a show for WRSG in West Virginia, keeping on my grind, & doing everything for free just because I love it. 8)

Would a doctor apply for a job as a hospital orderly??? Why waste the talent on being a board operator???

If it gets you in the door, ABSOLUTELY - regardless of field, broadcasting, education, etc. Especially in these times. Food for thought: you've got new RNs, new teachers, new broadcasters who are going to be looking for scarce work opportunities. People will take what they can get.

Talent goes to waste sitting on the sidelines. It goes to waste slightly less if you're at least drawing a paycheck in said field. Plus, you're in the building should anything 'pop up' - that's the time people get to shine.

Keep at it, DJ Mo! I've heard your work - major market potential. Keep on plugging away!

Thank you, RadioGuy2004.

If all the compliments you here at RadioInfo give actually equal a PAID radio position, I'd probably be Ryan Seacrest now.

Oh, by the way, I just added "Saturday Nite House Party" Saturdays starting at 8pm Pacific / 11pm Eastern on Classic 80's Top-40 channel at http://www.1musicnetwork.com as my 3rd weekly mix show, based out of Sacramento, CA.
Almost major market L.A... :D

And yes, another unpaid volunteer gig...
