Sunny 93.9 to Be MOviN

Won't be Movin' because CC does not own the name. Emmis does. And has anyone in that building filled with radio wizards figured out how this new format will completely gut the adult numbers of G? Who the f--- is in charge of this mess? Is Robbins still there?
 
The further east it's movin the better. I want Greensboro listeners to hear Majic 94.1. I only hate I won't be able to hear the new format. Actually, I can't usually hear the station now.
 
I think CC should come up with something thats unique to the area but at the same it is more urban so it wontt be movin because cc doesnt have the rights to that name. My bet is that they (clear channel) is going to call it the beat doesnt that have a nice ring to it The All New 93.9 The Beat Whoopi in the morning the best Hip-Hop and Classic soul all day long on the New BEAT 93.9!

Here's another idea for a name for the new 93.9: How does 93.9 Kiss-FM sound? The new format 93.9 is taking fits the Kiss name better than that heard on WMKS in G'boro...

I am guessing this means new call letters are coming as well (possibly W?KS), assuming they will in fact be called KISS FM. Then again, I won't be listening to the new format anyways, so I won't know if I am right about that until someone posts them here.

You can't have hip-hop and classic soul on the same station. That would limit you to the Sugarhill Gang (I like "Rapper's Delight") and not much else.

Speaking of which, did anyone hear Johnny Gilbert on "Jeopardy" trying to rap the other night?

This will be interesting to see if another of my predictions proves to be correct; after WFMX died, I predicted that (1) WRDU would be the next CC casualty and (2) that it might flip to country (but even I had no inkling that CC would name it Rooster!). And I only suggested the Kiss name (rather than The Beat as someone else in this thread suggested) because the Beat name reminded me of what happened to 94.5 in G'boro not quite a year and a half after CC-Charlotte modeled 96.1 The Beat after it. I just don't see any of the CC-Raleigh stations going the La Preciosa route and taking on La Ley.
