Sunny 95 Christmas music

Good lord, by their own coutdown it's 87 days until Christmas... about 1/4 of an entire year devoted to Christmas music.

Can anyone say O-B-N-O-X-I-O-U-S E-X-C-E-S-S?

I did read some reserach recently that said more and more people are starting their Christmas shopping in September. But still...

With the gargantuan (and of course temporary) bump Christmas music gave 93.3 last year, I guess Sunny is hellbent on trying to own the holiday image by getting there first.

I start doing my holiday shopping in September but not because I am excited about Christmas. I would just much rather spread out the financial burden of Christmas over 4 months rather than get hit with it in December. Sure I could *save* the money but for me it's too tempting to spend it on an extra beer or two at Hineygate. You can't spend a gift.

So anyway. I have NO INTEREST in listening to Christmas music even though the shopping has already started.

Well, I was gonna ask you to buy me a beer at the next Hineygate, CBusDave, but you blew all your money on Christmas gifts.

God, this is ridiculous. I like Christmas music, but NO WAY am I in the mood to hear it till after Thanksgiving. At least it's just on the website. I'm wondering if one of the stations will start broadcasting it over the air right after Halloween. Makes me glad I have satellite.

I can see where they are coming from with this. While I personally am not ready for it, there are some who will want to get into the Christmas spirit way early, especially as the weather starts to cool down and rain and snow return. As long as they don't switch the over the air station or dramatically overhall the website, it might actually be a good idea.
