Sunny's Lame Holiday Weekend Special

While sister-station WCBS-FM in NYC presented a countdown of the Top 500 Artists this Memorial Day Weekend (lots of nuggets you haven't heard in awhile)...Sunny 105.9
gives its listeners a "No Slo" weekend...apparently meaning no slow tempo songs to make one's holiday partee complete. Well, to my ear it was the usual rotation with the occasional slow song (how many do they play anyway?) just edited out of their music scheduler. Nothing truly special just the same old mix (no pun intended).

By the way, the Sunny programming memo didn't reach the producers of BackTraxx..the '80s era show Sunday evening featured plenty of slo songs. (yea, I know it's syndicated..but you promised a no-slo music weekend and you lied!). By the way, BackTraxx Sunday night was a great reminder of how bad 80s music really was. Turkey show.

I guess the music scheduling dude was on vacation leading up to the weekend...

Sunny is getting worse and worse by the week. They don't even mention 60s anymore, as they said the "Greatest Hits of the 60s and 70s." They have very little creativity.

I wish they would be like the old Kool.
