Sup wit da Chicks? How many Grammy's and for....what again?

In a triumphant comeback, the Chicks swept in their five nominated categories on Sunday, including best album and country album for "Taking the Long Way."

I mean, the song was aight but wow. I'm trying to figure out who plays them in Seattle besides the country stations...and that is IF they even play them.

Seattle may be missing the boat on The Dixie Chicks. I don't know if they get much air time on KMPS or The Wolf, but it do know it's a great cd and The Chicks political views are more broadly embraced than they were originally. Like Natalie said on stage on Sunday..."to quote The Simpsons..."

Both KMPS and Wolf are playing DC. But only the ones prior to Maines' comment in London.

I wonder if asked, if the stations would say the Dixie Chicks latest cd is not as country as their other stuff or a "departure" or some other lame line to justify it. If ya ask me, and I know you didn't, 5 Grammy awards can't be wrong...

The Dixie Chicks are a great band and the new album is closer to pop than the country they started out with. It is a GOOD album. However, my opinion is Mary J Blige was ROBBED, this woman put out an album that was simply incredible. And this is coming from someone who is NOT a big R&B fan.

Do I think the Chicks win was a political statement from good ole Hollywood and the Grammy Association? You bet your sweet cheeks it was.

I am pretty sure the country music association will not be handing much out to them for this album.

According to all access the DC's got a 823% album sales bounce post grammy. Country music stations will welcome them back when the chicks finally figure out the whole shut up and sing concept.

You mean like how Toby Keith opens his mouth? Sure hurt his image, hasn't it?
