Super 70's Weekend showdown

On its first weekend, True Oldies 106.7 will play all 70's music this weekend, billed as a "Super 70's Weekend"

Earlier this week, B98.5 announced they will play all 70's music from 3 PM Friday-7 PM Sunday, billed as a "Super 70's Weekend"

Coincidence? Probably.

I wonder who will have the bigger playlist (106.7), and who will have the bigger audience (98.5).

Very interesting indeed. I really hope 1067 destroys B98.5, that station is a mess. The Nascar race will interupt 1067 Sunday, but I will switch back and forth, I am betting 1067 will have a deeper playlist.

Oh yeah what a mess. Ranked 4th in 12 plus and about to add a legendary morning show. Most stations would love that problem. They will be lucky to beat Rock 100.5.

RTibbs... I was thinking the exact same thing...

How will this affect Q100?

I will listen to neither. I prefer K-Billy's Super Sounds of the 70's Weekend

Wow I heard Rick Dees "Disco Duck" in the 3pm hour Sunday on 98.5, God I forgot Dees' vocals were that bad. :)

As horrendous a song as Disco Duck was, it made Dees famous and got him to KHJ in L.A. Dees ended up making millions in L.A.

B98.5 is so predictible. 1067 won this contest hands down.

How such? Did you compare the hourlies on Yes? Did you stay inside all weekend huddled by the Victrola switching stations every 3 minutes all weekend?

It was just another attempt from B98.5 to pull one of its tricks out of the bag. Really, there's nothing special in what they do. Nobody can predict when they will show off another one of their tricks again. Knowing last week was when we set our clocks forward, they play songs back then. I wonder if we set our clocks back several months from now, will B98.5 be playing songs from the future like the 2030's or 2040's?
