Super 70's

Caught a new show recently on 1075 KHITS. Super 70's. Heard a couple of fun songs I haven't heard in ages. Lots of memories for the wife and I. I remember hearing a similar show a while back on another station with dance stuff. Called 70's Night. That was fun to listen to. In the small period of time we were in the car, didn't hear much dance stuff. Anybody have any idea if this show does that ?

Its really just an extension of the stations regular music format... focusing on the 70s without the 60s. I doubt you'll hear much dance music... maybe some pre-disco stuff but thats about it.

That is not really "Super 70's" then is it. "All Request Super 70's" is what it is stating right? Although the rock that they play are great 70's tunes, what about some of the other tunes pop/funk/disco that were big on the charts in that era.

They should play it all. Houston is a hip and happening city with a large diversity right ? And we live in the 21st century now. I am not aware of any 70' & 80 Fun Dance shows for adults that want to boogie a little on a Saturday Night in this city. However, if I want to hear Zeppelin or ZZ Top, I will either listen during the day or go to another station that play lots of it.

I am not going to give up my CD's or TV for the above artist, however, I will if I could get something that I can't get any where else.

They just recently had KC & Earth, Wind & Fire here in concert. Yet, where can I find tunes like that. No where ! Have to put in the CD !

"An extension of regular programming"...Why would I stay up late on Saturday Night to hear the same songs I can hear during the day. I think they should make that a fun party show that we who grew up in that era would love to tune into every Satuday Night.

It will be a program that I would enjoy listening to if they can do something different.

KEOM in the Dallas area is all 70's. Not sure how they do in the ratings (they are non-comm owned by the Mesquite school district), but they are a lot of fun to listen to - a lot of music you don't hear anywhere else.
